$TGT is still an outstanding business with great fundamentals.

They supply chain woes that led to a glut of inventory hit nearly every retailer. Here, have a great that hit a snag that is likely temporary. The drop in price has presented an incredible opportunity for anyone who may have missed the boat.

    This isn't rocket science.

Market Update 6/10:: The market is still filled w/ uncertainty. The Trolls like Prince & Flame are SHORTERs in repsect to their portfolio. If you don't like this stock why continue to badger it constantly each day? Thats like telling a person you dont like them 100x over. You don't have to invest here although its in the same boat as the other MBS (mortgage backed securities). As I've shared many times for the past 12 wks, we are in a situation of a 3 headed monster. 1. Fed Hikes, 2. Home Availability is minuscule according to multiple reports, and 3. Home Affordability as US citizens can't seem to find a break anywhere in affordable pricing. Everything is pricey! So why do trolls believe ORC is the only 1 getting hit when NLY, AGNC. TWO, IVR, OXLC and more are getting hit as expected. The grander point is that things will hopefully turn itself around once the macro factors play out on course to full recovery such as Fed capping Hikes on interest rates, Geopolitical tensions ceases, Better public policy on energy meaning lets open up the gas refineries here in the US and not worry about fracking or Green Agenda, Improved Labor, and Improved Logistics or Distribution capabilities. So there's many issues at the macro thats impacting business. Look at $TGT, they had to announce slashing huge prices to get rid of inventory. So this means almost everyone is swimming in negative territory incl large cap like MSFT, Facebook, Amazon, MGM, Adobe, Kohls, and many more. So the Trolls please use your time more effectively. ORC like other REITs will be readjusting expectations like the other stocks thats called preparation for a seismic shift in strategy. This market is filled with pitfalls but you have to be prepared to take on those declines however things will turnaround as this is a macro issue not micro at the balance sheet. I repeat again, the main issue is Home Affordability vs Availability. Once we have a sustainable environment of new homes and cooled off demand we should see home prices reversing to its average mean or previous lows that are market based not Inflated! So be patient. The stock market is about RISK. You can't be risk averse as it'll impact your portfolio. If you want safety, go to $BAC or any other financial institution and buy into a mutual fund or CD account. The wait will payout in huge dividends for you if you're willing to journey thru this environment of uncertainty. Things will eventually improve in the housing market but this is an opportunity to wait and be patient. Stop listening to Trolls, they will help you lose $$$. Do your research and GL to ALL!!!

Holy shix. I kept expecting a bounce, but each time a bounce attempted, it gets sold off. Target $TGT and Walmart $WMT showed the double whammy we're facing from this inflation mess. If people keep buying shix, earnings is OK, but Feds keep raising rates more aggressively from inflation, causing an even more epic recession and stock sell off. If people stop buying shix, it lowers inflation, but causes the stock market to crash. Either way this doesn't look good now with S&P 3,800 and Nasdaq 11,000 about to break. After support breaks, the sell off will accelerate. $AAPL and $AMZN will keep going down from capital preservation, dragging the indices lower and lower.

Even China's reopening is not going to help because they've shown to the world that even just a few cases of COVID will cause them to lock down again. 1999 all over again. -50% minimum, probably -75% indices drop by next year. -90% if there's some sort of black swan like solar flares destroying electronics, or some other new virus, or even COVID coming back with a new variant that's even more infectious than Omicron and its subvariants and more deadlier too.

$DG purchases are typically the "hey, I need a quick set of jumper cables... loaf of bread... pack of bottled water... but I don't feel like driving all the way to $TGT or $WMT". The "big city" guys don't understand the Dollar General shopper -- they're not competing with $AMZN in any way whatsoever compared to the likes of Walmart and Target. I'm not afraid of Walmart's numbers... to some extent, I can see Dollar General doing even better in a down economy. This is a good company with a great future. It owns rural America and the forgotten side of the city.

Pete Najarian was on CNBC this morning and was asked to pick 3 stocks for 2020. $TGT Target was one of them & he too argued that Target deserves a higher multiple than Walmart. He also believes Target will achieve that multiple. He is also a big believer in Cornell, especially what he has built with Target Online.

Take it for whats its worth to you. This is not what i base my investment decisions off of, but opinions like this are always appreciated on my end.

Glad I bought more $TGT shares at the big drop on Tuesday. Now up $5 with optimism around WMT's earnings beat. Let's hope TGT crushes it. Hard to see otherwise. They're a better version of Walmart all around.

If you really think about it *rationally*, $TGT at 54 and even at 57 is a buy. Perhaps not a 'screaming buy' but definitely a buy. The risk is fairly low and yet somehow the sentiment brought it down 10% on earnings that were above expectations and guidance that was close to neutral. If you want to short retail, why not short $FL? It is amazing that $FL is up some 25% yet guidance is down. They see Q4 EPS down 15-25% y/y implying $1.03-1.16 vs $1.18 consensus.

$SQ I think a lot of you are forgetting that Cash App users also tend not have banking accounts which is why their engagement stepped up in 2020 due to pandemic stimulus checks. You know what also just started? Monthly Child Tax Credit payments. If you use Cash App you get to use the money quicker and those parents will be using the card to buy clothes, school supplies, and groceries. Bullish for $TGT too.
