Albertson's taking it private!! Cerebus-backed Albertson's has been in merger talks with Sprout's Farmers Market. Let the bidding begin!! What's it worth?? $28, $30, $35?? More?? Not certain, but should be an interesting morning!!
With the number of new openings Sprouts has over the next quarter, revenue and income should be creeping up. If the current price trend continues this stock is going from growth to value.

Cramer Loved Whole Foods at $66.00 a few quarters ago. He said Buy Buy Buy almost every show. Now WFM crashed and has been flailing around $30 for a year. Talk about making yourself look like and idiot. His head is shoved so far up his own cinnamon ring that he could never judge a great company Like Sprouts and get it right.

Yes, The World is just starting to figure out that Sprouts is Killing Whole Foods. The long lived one time King of healthy and organic foods is falling on it's own sword as the Nimble new competitor Sprouts Farmers Market takes a toll on WFM's sales and margins. Goldman and others have called Sprouts a disrupter in the grocery space. Wall Street is now aware of Sprouts and is finally starting to see the potential in the company and the stock. You can bet that the Big houses have been accumulating plenty of shares of SFM while we put in this nice long bottom formation on the stock chart. Now they are all switching from the Hold and Sell ratings that they put in place... (so they could load up), we see them all putting in accumulate, outperform and Buy ratings to run the stock up for themselves.... And us Longs. This game goes on and on as always only this time they picked our stock to play it out. We should get a nice run upward in the next several quarters. It is about time!

$15 is coming. With WFM 365 stores opening, WFM has the competitive edge over sprouts since it has a much better balance sheet with little debt, compared to SFM. The stock valuation of SFM will need to come down to compete with WFM.
$SFM is still on track for $30, today is the day for $UNFI though 😀

Under low inflation the wholesale food retailers win (UNFI) since wholesale stays flat while retail prices go down. Under high inflation, best of breed retailers (SFM) win.

Anyone know why there is a gap in the options? They go from June 16th to September 15th, with nothing in between. They usually run every month.

We at least in Irvine Ca became a restaurant in addition that had to help kill profits as I saw many time old salad, soups in tub bins untouched!! Plus they ALSO, have clothing expensive "Organic"Ugly clothing and specialty hats ect!! Many were always on sale for the obvious!! I can see while their profits tanked!! Had they stayed to food and vitamins they would still be profitable and I'll bet growing---oh wait- they ALSO had face creams Lots if that!!! Need another reason they lost money!!!

Why is Zacks so down on Sprout's Farmers Market? I live in Arizona and shop there weekly. This is a great place to get fresh produce. It is like a large road side stand out front of a farm. Seems like Zacks have some personal issue with this company..... or never visited one. I do not see their reasoning for including it in negative reviews of other food stores, like Kroger ect.
