$JWN is a nearly perfect PE takeover target or family buyback/buyout at these levels. So many great opportunities to restructure away from the scrutiny of public markets. Very strong revenues, defensible market positions, solid e-commerce platform, diversity of business lines, excellent brand equity. Trades at 1/10th of $LULU and should be trading at a comparable multiple. Shorts are going to get annihilated.

Every day that $JWN goes lower means I get to buy more. As long as this company doesn’t go bankrupt (it shouldn’t, all things considered) I see tons of growth.

$WMT sees 97% growth in e-commerce sales — sign of things to come with $JWN. Early and sustained investments in this channel is a key differentiator that will help carry the equity to new highs. Bye bye 👋🏻 shorts!

Follow me over at $M and $JWN. Two other companies in the same boat. Different sector. But the boat is the same. Full of holes!

Biden will issue lockdown 2.0 in Nov. Retail and restaurants will get smacked again. Shorting $M $JWN and adding to $PLAY at these inflated levels.

Ask yourself: why $ftch is soaring and $jwn is not. The answer is simple: Republicans do not shop at jwn anymore. It’s not related to the pandemic so it will not get better for them.

game over for $M and $JWN. no vaccine until 2021. Probably mid year after all the testing and distribution that needs to take place. These companies will not last that long without secondary offerings and massive dilution. Then probably R/S to get the share count back in line.

Over reaction due to Corona Virus fear. Company is doing good, Dividend is good.Hopefully should be ok in long run. $M has way better P/E than competition. On management now how fast it handles loss making store closings and then turns it around. I am long. Similar stocks $JWN, $DDS,$ KSS etc.in the same retail category are down.

In recent decades, department stores have essentially morphed into apparel stores, as they shuttered or shrunk departments like electronics or home goods (among others) and filled those spaces with apparel. Yet shoppers have pulled back on their discretionary spending on apparel as casual wear has become more acceptable in the workplace, and at events like religious services and life milestones like weddings. Plus, when they do spend on apparel, they tend to favor low prices, and frequent discounters like mass merchants or off-price stores. Deloitte: In 1987, the average consumer allocated 5.9% of their spending to apparel and services, but by 2017, that had plummeted to 3.1%. $M $JWN $JCP $KSS. lol

I have a suspension that more people are refusing to shop at Nordstrom because of their political stance vs the liberals who say they will now shop there. Just like the media totally blowing it by declaring PA, MI, & Wisc. safe state for Hillary.... Just wait until earnings are reported for the first quarter 2017.

This stock will tank just like Macy's has done in the last year. Retail is competitive enough that alienating half the population can only hurt your sales. Successful businesses stay out of politics.

How long can a retail business stay afloat focused on half their potential market. There is some foolish misnomer that the rich are liberal. There are many many conservative successful business owners who, like me, are rejecting liberal activism with my wallet. Nordstrom will end up like Macy's, Feb 28th earnings will be a reckoning day. For those who say this was just a business decision, when was the last time a store announced they were no longer going to carry a product?

The quarterly report that matters isn't this one, it will be the next one. Like the Oscars and Grammys and such JWN had to enter into politics with the Ivanka deal. That is wrong for business. Liberals preach that they represent the lower and middle class working people and conservatives represent the rich. Well, mostly rich people buy at Nordstrom, the conservative buyers. JWN just alienated 49% of the nation's voters and probably 95% of it's customer base. Dumb move. Management will see around the next quarterly report time.

Brilliant moves from a CEO who rode this stock down from 60 to 45. I'll enjoy shorting this dud of a stock and taking your liberal cash - lol. Investing isn't political this company is poorly run.

They have acknowledged that they have to move to a more innovative strategy including digital. Then they select a guy with 34 years of big brick and mortar stores to head up the development of a new digital stragegy. What could possibly go wrong.

This company is toast. Once they became political in an obvious effort to get publicity they signed their DEATH Warrant. That political comment is really beginning to show in the decline of the stock price. It should be a good short. Likely in the $20s by the end of the year. JMHO.
