I think Mike Pence will open oil fields and resume discontinued pipeline construction. All will strongly support $EPD into the 2030s.

EPD is my best investment. Disbursements over the past few years have paid my rent.
$GEVO, a clean energy aviation fuel, is being bought up by Chevron, and most all of the major airlines as the "Future" in clean, green airplane fuel.
$EPD and $GEVO are the path.

Demand is coming back faster than supply and we're going to need more supply to meet that demand," said Phil Flynn, senior analyst at Price Futures Group in Chicago.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its monthly report that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies, known as OPEC+, would need to boost output to meet demand set to recover to pre-pandemic levels by the end of 2022.

"OPEC+ needs to open the taps to keep the world oil markets adequately supplied," the Paris-based energy watchdog said.

"Even if Iran is able to add to global supply, Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) still feels confident about the oil market."
"Even aggressively assuming a restart in July, we estimate that Brent prices would still reach $80 per barrel in fourth quarter 2021," the bank said in a note.

Goldman Sachs sees it now. $80 is in my opinion a conservative estimate.

OPEC+ abandoned its meeting without a deal, tipping the cartel into crisis and leaving the oil market facing tight supplies and rising prices.

Several days of tense talks failed to resolve a bitter dispute between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, delegates said, asking not to be named because the information wasn’t public. The group didn’t agree on a date for its next meeting, according to a statement from OPEC Secretary-General Mohammad Barkindo.

The most immediate effect of the breakdown is that, unless an agreement can be salvaged, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies won’t increase production for August. That will deprive the global economy of vital extra supplies as demand recovers rapidly from the coronavirus pandemic.

I've owned $EPD for several years and finally got tired of wasting time on complicated Schedule K-1s. So, I sold it in 2018. I am using H&R Block tax software, and am on the Schedule K-1 Worksheet, which appears to be from the IRS but I can find limited info.

    My question is:
It asks to check if it is a total disposition (it is).
It then asks for the "gain/loss on disposition" as well as "gain/loss on disposition-AMT". What is the correct amount for these?

Now I am confused at how to calculate the gain/loss. The K-1 has a "Sales Worksheet" which multiple boxes, including Purchase Price/Initial Basis Amount, Cumulative Adjustments to Basis, Cost Basis, Gain Subject to Recapture as Ordinary Income, AMT Gain/Loss Adjustment.

I then also have my brokerage statement that shows the capital gains from selling $EPD, which is completely different from this "Sales Worksheet".

My best guess is that the gain/loss on disposition is more related to partnership income, not stock gain. So, this would be from the Sales Worksheet "Gain Subject to Recapture as Ordinary Income" and then use the AMT adjustment to fill out the gain/loss on disposition-AMT.

Then, I would have my capital gains later on Schedule D. However, I don't want to double count anywhere and I'm talking $7500 of capital gains, and $8600 from the "Sales Worksheet" so it is significant.

HINT FOR EVERY REGULAR PERSON: NEVER BUY A MLP/PTP IN A TAXABLE ACCOUNT!!! YOU CAN FIND OTHER INVESTMENTS THAT ARE SIMILAR AND DON'T WASTE HOURS OF YOUR TIME TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE TAX IMPLICATIONS OF A SCHEDULE K-1!

A play to consider in the Natural Gas space may not be the actual nat gas, but the producers, transportation, the mineral owners etc.
An ETF like $FCG has the nat gas companies as well as oil name like $OXY. This also pays a 3% dividend.
Oil/Gas pipelines get paid no matter the price of Nat gas and with the draw, these pipelines will be moving a lot more gas. Companies like $KMI $ET $EPD etc pay a 8-9% yield.

It is extremely hard to trade Nat gas and win......good luck!!
