Looking forward to playing the pot sector again 🔥 buy the rumour, sell the news again.... just like the run up for the CDN fed legalization back in 2017.... now we have the US voting on Fed legalization. Woohoo 🎉 Good times ahead for some of my favourites $TLRY, $ACB, $VFF, $CRON, $APHA 💃💃💃

Been promoting this company for awhile, glad to see that common sense has prevailed! Good product, growing industry, growing political support, how can you go wrong?? Anyways been trying to spread the word on twitter, follow me if you want and I'm sure that if the momentum keeps building $APHA will definitely reach $15 USD by the end of the year!! Maybe you guys can help me understand Candian MSO's - almost every one of them has a higher cost of sales than revenue. Let's start with $OGI since earning just came out this morning - $20.4 million Q revenue, $29 million cost of revenue. Revenue rose 25% and cost of sales rose 87%. Stock is up in pre-market???

$ACB TTM: $273 million in revenue, cost of revenue $324 million.
$TLRY TTM: $200 million in revenue, cost of revenue $248 million.
$CGC TTM: $477 million in revenue, cost of revenue $498 million.
Only $APHA has a higher revenue: $560 million in revenue, cost of revenue $341 million.

Now look at the US MSO's:

Trulieve TTM: $367 million in revenue, cost of revenue $12 million.
$CRLBF TTM: $355 million in revenue, cost of revenue $159 million.
$GTBIF TTM: $455 million in revenue, cost of revenue $210 million.
CURLF TTM: $471 million in revenue, cost of revenue $161 million.

How can you invest in MJ companies that lost money just selling the product? This doesn't even factor in operational cost, etc. These are the two top-line numbers! This isn't like Microsft when they introduced the XBox and lost money on each unit sold and made the money on the games.

Are LP investors really this lazy and not reading a simple financial statement? APHA is an obvious winner in Canada, but if you invest in the others you are going to lose it all in the long run. It's obvious why they dilute so much.

I've sold some around the margins (around 10%), but I'm sucking it up and holding VFF, $APHA, $TCNNF, and buying the TCNNF on dips and when I sell some of the others. Mostly holding, but less excited lately about YCBD.

My portfolio is up 50% since Halloween. Feeling good, but nervous about letting it ride. But this is retirement, not rent, so I'm trying to keep a long view.

I have an uncomfortably large (for me) position in $APHA, with positions from highs of last spring to recent lows. Just broke even after being down 30% overall, but buying dips and selling upswings (the "breakeven" ignores those short-term profits).

I'm no longer uncomfortable! Gonna get a few sixpacks of Sweetwater this weekend and toast to finally having made a good, solid investment.

Over the course of the time I've been investing in $APHA, I've usually bought lots of 100-200. One time, a while back, I bought 1000. And it dropped and dropped from there. I've been dying to see the value of that MFing block be positive for what seems like forever. Watched it today, so I could finally see it, but it stayed at least .005 below it all afternoon, or at least didn't stay there long enough to show in my chart.

But it just closed after giving me that damned USD$.005.

Cause for relief and celebration. We got this, y'all.

Why is APHA lagging compared to peers? I've been researching all of the top companies for a while, and Canopy & Aphria come out on top from every angle. Is this classic case of $APHA being the turtle in the race?

$APHA, $TLRY, $ACB, $CRON, $GRWG, $CGC ($ACRHF) and a number of other cannabis stocks showed two large block trades in after hour with identical number of shares (for example, 3,471,987 for APHA). These could show up on the same exchanges or on different exchanges. The first happened around 16:13ET and the second around 16:25ET. It looks as if one entity is transferring stocks to another entity but I don't really know. Has anyone seen anything like this? Is there any meaning to it?

Below is the summary of the MORE Act introduced by VP-Elect Harris. Cross post to $APHA for common interest.

    www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/2227
    "Introduced in Senate (07/23/2019)
Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2019 or the MORE Act of 2019

    This bill decriminalizes marijuana.

Specifically, it removes marijuana from the list of scheduled substances under the Controlled Substances Act and eliminates criminal penalties for an individual who manufactures, distributes, or possesses marijuana."

Some people have tried to distinguish between "legalization" and "decriminalization". I don't see such a difference in this Act. If there are no criminal penalties for manufacturing, distribution and possession, then what is illegality? In any case, if Democrats take control of the Senate, this Act will have a good chance of being passed. For Acreage investors, this would be the trigger event for Canopy to take over most if not all Acreage.

Cross post to $APHA for interest in the marijuana deregulation.

From the Agreement between Acreage and Canopy, a Triggering Event will automatically converts the fixed shares ACRHF into CGC shares at the rate of 0.3048. The Agreement also defines "Triggering Event means the amendment of federal Laws in the United States to permit the general cultivation, distribution and possession of marijuana (as defined in 21 U.S.C 802) or to remove the regulation of such activities from the federal Laws of the United States. "

The clause "to remove the regulation of such activities from the federal Laws of the United States. " means that the only action needed is to remove marijuana from the list of controlled substances.

    https://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/21cfr/21usc/811.htm
Interestingly, Section 811 of Title 21 United States Code (USC) Controlled Substances Act states that this action, in fact, lays within the power of the Attorney General after consultation with the Secretary of Health. That is, decriminalization of marijuana can be done without any new law. Given what VP-Elect Harris said during the debate with Mike Pence, decriminalization of marijuana would seem to be imminent in 2021.

Back to ACRHF, the current CGC price is US23.50 which would translate to US7.16 for ACRHF. The current ACRHF price of US3.95 looks like a deep discount given the high chance of the Triggering Event happening due to decriminalization.

Comparing apha to #acb it #hexo or #tlry not fair comparison. #acb still 90cent pre split after insane climb, valuation makes no sense when compared to apha but in terms of how much there down the insane gains make sense. That said we should be more at par with #cgc and trading closer to them and that what upsets me. #apha moves like a MSO and drops like a LP
