Altdorf/Kairo, 1. Februar 2011 - Till Leisner (30) übernimmt per 1. Februar 2012 die Leitung der Bereiche Group Controlling und Investor Relations der Orascom Development Holding AG (Orascom Development), Altdorf. Der schweizerisch-deutsche Doppelbürger erwarb sein Lizenziat (lic. oec.) in Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit Spezialisierung in Finanzwesen an der Universität Zürich. Im Rahmen seiner anschliessenden Weiterbildung zum Chartered Financial Analyst absolvierte er bisher erfolgreich die Levels I und II. Nach kurzem Aufenthalt im Bereich Wealth Management & Business Banking der UBS (NYSEArca: DJCI - Nachrichten) war Till Leisner fünf Jahre für die UBS Investment Bank tätig, zuletzt als Direktor und Aktienanalyst. Dabei deckte er Unternehmen aus den Gebieten Transport, Reisen, Infrastruktur, Handel, Finanzen und Immobilien ab. Till Leisner erhielt 2011 mehrere Auszeichnungen für seine Analystentätigkeit.

Seit der Abrechnung der öffentlichen Umtauschofferte von Orascom Development für OHD ist Orascom Development die neue Muttergesellschaft von OHD. Orascom Development ist sowohl im Hauptsegment an der SIX Swiss Exchange (Primärkotierung, ISIN:CH0038285679) als auch an der EGX Egyptian Exchange (Sekundärkotierung; ISIN:EGG676K1D011) kotiert. Im Dezember 2009 modifizierte Orascom Development ihr Sekundärlisting an der EGX durch die Ausgabe und das Listing von Egyptian Depository Receipts (EDR; jeder EDR repräsentiert 1/20 einer Aktie der Gruppe), die in ägyptischen Fund handelbar sind. Zuvor wurde die Aktien der Gruppe sowohl an der SIX (SNP: ^SIXY - Nachrichten) als auch an der EGX in Schweizer Franken gehandelt. Mit dieser Massnahme wird der Handel an der EGX vereinfacht und die Liquidität im Titel erhöht.

Heute ist Orascom Development in neun Ländern (Ägypten, Jordanien, Vereinigte Arabische Emirate, Oman, Schweiz, Marokko, Grossbritannien, Montenegro und Rumänien) aktiv und hält rund um den Globus Ausschau nach weiteren Projektmöglichkeiten in noch schwach entwickelten aber dennoch attraktiven Gegenden. Die Gruppe betreibt momentan vier Städte: El Gouna am Roten Meer in Ägypten sowie Taba Heights auf der Sinai-Halbinsel (Ägypten), das nach demselben Geschäftsmodell wie El Gouna betrieben wird. The Cove (Ras Al Khaimah, V.A.E.) ist die erste Destination der Gruppe ausserhalb von Ägypten. Und Haram City ist eine integrierte Stadt mit preiswertem Wohnraum für die breite Bevölkerung in Ägypten.
